Anantapur: Breaking his silence for the first time, personal assistant and caretaker of the late Satya Sai Baba, Satyajit on Friday stated that he had no connection with the allegations leveled against Trust members on the transportation of money from Prashanti Nilayam, Puttaparthy to Karnataka state, even as the police issued summons to another Trust member.
Talking to media persons here, Mr Satyajit said that he had come to the ashram as a devotee and only to serve the seer.
He also denied that he had no way connected to Trust affairs and had not interfered in them at any time.
Satyajit also rubbished reports which had appeared in a section of media stating that he was responsible for the deterioration in the Baba’s health.
“There is no truth in the report and media targeted me without bothering to find out the truth,” he said.
“Whatever responsibilities Satya Sai Baba entrusted on me, I discharged them with devotion. I have not faced any problems while discharging my duties in the Ashram” Satyajit stated.
Meanwhile, the police on Friday issued notice to Trust member Chakravarthy in connection with the transfer of money illegally from Ashram to Karnataka state.
In their notice, the police sought details from the register in which the movement of vehicles was recorded.
Earlier the police issued notices to two trust members Ratnakar and Srinivas seeking their explanation on money seized at Kodikonda checkpost in the district.(INN)
