Hyderabad: An agreement was signed between the Basava Tarakam Cancer Hospital and NTR Trust, the charity wing of the TDP under which the Trust would construct a choultry at a cost of Rs 75 lakhs and provide food for 500 patients every day. The CEO of the NTR Trust, Mr Metaparti Venkat and CEO of the Basava Tarakam Indo-America Hospital, Mr R P Singh, have signed the MoU.
Mr Venkat said that the choultry and the feeding programme would become operational from November this year. Stating that construction of choultry would begin this month, Mr Venkat said the TL Prasad Associates Company has provided Rs 75 lakhs required for the choultry. He called upon philanthropists to come forward and donate money so that meals could be provided to the poor patients.
