Hyderabad: Finding fault with the YSR Congress Party leaders for criticising from three places in the state targeting the Health Minister and Kadapa Lok Sabha Congress official candidate Dr DL Ravindra Reddy, the PCC said that Dr DL has the history of becoming the Cabinet Minister even before late Dr YSR.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan along with another spokesperson Ms N Padmaja Reddy, the PCC official spokesperson Mr B Kamalakar Rao said that the Congress Party wouldn’t tolerate such criticism of YSR Congress Party against Dr DL. He said that the TDP and CPI too were using same sort of language against the Congress Party. Advising the TDP to behave like a main Opposition Party, he alleged that the TDP was not in a position to campaign in the Kadapa by-elections due to its internal rumblings.

Alleging that contractors were sending moneybags and were seized by the police in Kadapa district, Mr Kamalakar Rao urged the Election Commission to curb the money flow in the Kadapa by-elections. He said that the Kadapa voters would cast their vote to the Congress party even though they accept money from other parties.

Dubbing the CPI State Secretary Dr K Narayana as ‘Chicken Narayana’, Ms Padmaja Reddy said that he was using words like ‘Chithekarthe Kukkalu’, ‘Murikiguntalo Chepalupattevallu’ against the ministers because he was not digesting the ‘Chicken’ he ate after his two-day fast in Vijayawada. She said that the Left Parties’ newspapers have avoided publishing the language he used against the ministers. She warned the Left Parties that the time might come to lock their offices in the State if they used such language. (NSS)
