Karimnagar, Feb.20 (NSS): Congress MP Mr Ponnam Prabhakar called upon the TDP and TRS MPs to support the Telangana Congress MPs in the Parliament to be commenced from February 21, on Telangana issue.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Mr Prabhakar exuded confidence that the Telangana Congress MPs would strive to force the Centre to make an announcement on Telangana in the Budget session. He opined that the people will not tolerate the attempts of the government to suppress the Non-Cooperation Movement. He stated that it was bad on the part of the government, to have failed to include the feelings of Telangana people in the Governor’s speech. He stated that it was not wrong on the part of Telangana MLAs to obstruct the Governor speech and added that they have the right to do so. Reminding the incident of Congress MLAs obstructing the then Governor Mr Rangarajan’s address, Mr Prabhakar said that the Congress MLAs were succeeded in sending Mr Rangarajan out of the House within three minutes.

Finding fault with the Chief Minister for dubbing the obstruction of the present Governor’s speech by the TRS and TDP Telangana MLAs as ‘Black Day’, Mr Prabhakar said that Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy was not a Chief Minister belonging to one particular region and he was representative of the total State.
