Hyderabad: The Congress Legislature Party has demanded the State government to come forward with a clear policy to control the corporate intermediate colleges.
Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Saturday along with MLC Mr Paladugu Venkat Rao, MLC Mr KR Amos said that the present administration was adequate only to concentrate on government colleges. It was bad that the corporate colleges’ managements were earnings bucks with false propaganda by taking photos of toppers with the Chief Minister.
Mr Venkat Rao said that the poultry forms were better than the intermediate colleges in the State. The colleges lacked minimum infrastructure and the managements were not providing needed equipments to the students, he alleged. He stated that only 100 to 200 students were getting ranks from the corporate colleges like Narayana and Sri Chaithanya, out of six lakh students, and added that it was not a big thing getting these ranks. He alleged that the private college managements turned education as business. He warned the intermediate board officials to own responsibility for further consequences, if it failed to initiate required steps to change the system. He alleged that it was shameful that the TDP has not displayed the portraits of Mahathma Gandhi and only displayed late NTR’s portrait.
Mr Amos said that it was not proper on the part of the Seemandhra officers to neglect the Telangana public representatives, who comes to secretariat to get the problems of people solved, at the time of intensified Telangana movement. He asked the officers to change their attitude immediately. (NSS)
