Kurnool: The Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, has said that he would henceforth give same importance to the PRP members as he was giving to the Congress members as the party was now part of Congress. He said that it was with this view that he had given importance to the PRP MLA, Mr Katasani Ram Reddy, during his tour of the district.
The former Congress MLA, Mr Challa Rama Krishna Reddy, expressed resentment over the Chief Minister giving importance to Mr Ram Reddy. His group has not attended the public meeting of Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy on Saturday.
The Chief Minister said that the government would provide employment to 15 lakh youths during the next three years. He said his government has sanctioned Rs. 2,500 crores to 20 lakh BC, SC and ST students towards scholarships. He said that during the Education Fortnight, the government has spent over Rs 2,500 crores for improving basic amenities in the schools. He said his efforts would be to ensure that education standards in government schools were superior to that of the private institutions.
