Kadapa: The Minister for Health, Dr D L Ravindra Reddy, the candidate of Kadapa Parliament by-elections, and the Minister for Agriculture, Mr Y S Vivekananda Reddy, the candidate of Pulivendula Assembly segment, on Saturday spent the day busy with the election related work in the district.

The Minister for Health, Dr D L Ravindra Reddy on Saturday felt that Kadapa former MP Mr Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was not a contender for him, and his real fight will be with the TDP candidate in the by-election to Kadapa Parliamentary constituency.

Speaking to the media persons here, Dr Ravindra Reddy said that Kadapa by-elections were a fight between the good and evil. He appealed to the people of the constituency to teach a fitting lesion to Mr Jagan, who has amassed lakhs of crores of rupees misusing the power when his father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was the Chief Minister of the State.

“ Mr Jagan will not give any competition to me in the elections. The real contest will be between me and TDP candidate”, he claimed.

The Minister also expressed wonder over Mr Jagan and Karnataka Minister, Mr Gaali Janardhgan Reddy, who were icons of corruption, supporting the agitation of social activist Anna Hazare for Jan Lok Pal Bill.

“I will submit my nomination papers on April 16 or 19 for Kadapa Parliamentary Constituency”, he informed. He exuded confidence over the victory of the Congress in the by-elections in Kadapa district.

He also held discussions with Kandula Shivananda Reddy, who recently jointed the Congress from the TDP, on the strategy to be adopted in the elections.

Speaking on another occasion in the district, The Minister for Agriculture, Mr Vivekananda Reddy assured the people that his victory in the by-election of pulivendula Assembly segment would help resume the development works in the area, which came to a halt after the death of his brother Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. The Minister said: “we can not see the Congress and YSR differently. In the constituency, YSR is synonymous with the Congress party”. He also expressed happiness over the overwhelming response from Pulivendula constituency to his election tour.(NSS)
