Hyderabad, Feb.17 (NSS): The members of Parliament, Mr Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, and Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal, have warned that President’s rule would be imposed in the State if attacks on people’s representatives which were witnessed on Thursday continue to take place.

Both the MPs have strongly condemned the attack on the Lok Satta Party president, Dr Jayaprakash Narayan, and obstruction to the Governor’s speech in the Assembly. Stating that Dr Narayan, a former IAS officer, entered politics to bring about healthy change in politics, they said that it was unfortunate that he was chosen for such an undemocratic attack.

Stating that it was the responsibility of the government to protect the members from such attacks, they said that it was highly improper to attack the MLAs on the Telangana issue since it was under the purview of the Union government. They also asserted that every one has a right to express views and no one had any right to prevent any one from exercising this right. (NSS)
