Hyderabad: Describing as shameless the attack by Samaikyandhra leaders on ‘Telangana-Andhra Rashtrala Sadana Sadassu’ at Vijayawada on Sunday, the Andhra-Telangana Praja Sangala JAC politburo members, Mr Bellaiah Naik and Mr Velpuri Srinivas Rao, have alleged that it was a drama enacted by police and political leaders.
Speaking to the media here on Monday, Mr Bellaiah Naik said the police filed false cases under Section 506 and 147 IPC against the APCLC leader, Mr Chilaka Chandrashekar, the noted lawyer, Mr Y Koteshwar Rao, the Kapunadu State president, Mr Pilla Venkateshwar Rao, Mr Kabadi Srinu, the MRPS leader, Mr Venkateshwar Rao and others. Mr Naink said that it was clear that the police were showing partiality against the leaders of the Andhra-Telangana Praja Sangala JAC, who were organising a closed-door meeting at Vijayawada. He asked the Vijayawada police commissioner, Mr Madhusudhan Reddy, as to why he failed to file cases against the attackers. He demanded that the Police Commissioner withdraw the false cases immediately. He also alleged that the TDP MLA, Mr Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao, the Congress MLA, Mr Malladi Vishnu and the YSR Congress Party Chief, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, were behind the attack.
Mr Naik made it clear that such heinous attacks would not stop the movements of Separate Andhra and Separate Telangana Movements. Stating that 90 per cent of the Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes were supporting the separate Telangana movement in the Andhra region, Mr Naik said the political leaders in connivance with the capitaliss were resorting to attacks on such movements. He warned that those behind the attacks would face the wrath of the people if they did not mend their ways.
