Hyderabad: The senior Congress leader, Mr J C Diwakar Reddy, has sarcastically said that the Congress party should have fielded the Handlooms and Textiles Minister, Dr P Shankar Rao, in the Kadapa Lok Sabha bye-election against the YSR Congress Party chief, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, instead of the Health Minister, Dr D L Ravindra Reddy.
Speaking to mediapersons at the CLP office here on Wednesday, Mr Diwakar Reddy said that Dr Shankar Rao was an “efficient person”. He also raised “Dr Shankar Rao Zindabad” slogans. He made it clear that all the Seemandhra leaders would abide by whatever decision was taken by the party high command. He said that the Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy, was doing well and there was no need to change him. (NSS)
