Six cars burned in Old City of Hyderabad

Unidentified persons set ablaze 6 cars near the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The misxreants attack took place when the situation in the old city was returning to normalcy after violent incidents on Friday.

According to Police sources cars parked in the Ghansi Bazar area near the Andhra Pradesh High Court premises were set ablaze by unknown person. Police have recovered the footage of the arsonists from (CCTV) closed circuit cameras installed in the area and were trying to identify them.

In a CCTV (Close Circuit Camera) footage showed a youth pouring petrol on a car and setting ablaze. The attack was recorded 3.20 am.

Police suspects that it to be an attempt to incite violence in the old city of Hyderabad, which witnessed a series of attacks and clashes in the past two weeks over a temple abutting the historic Charminar monument.

Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N Kiran Kumar Reddy Monday reviewed the law and order situation with Director General of Police Dinesh Reddy and other top police officials.
