Snake sneaks into CM convoy, security lapse

Nellore: Another security lapse has come to light when a snake sneaked into a vehicle of the Chief Minister Mr Kiram Kumar Reddy’s convoy, at Kakatoor in the district.

The Chief Minister came here to lay the foundation stone to the Simhapuri University.

When the convoy of the CM was parked near the stage, a snake sneaked into a vehicle. The incident has kept the police on tenterhooks. The police finally found the vehicle in which the snake was hiding and removed it from the convoy.

Similar security lapses have also taken place earlier also. When Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was Chief Minister, a dog has managed to take shelter under his helicopter at Yacharam, to protect itself from the rain. That time, some police personnel guarding the helicopter were suspended holding them responsible.

staff cleaning up after the then Chief Minister K Rosaiah addressed media persons at Nandyal in Kurnool district were shocked to find a snake emerging from under the carpet.

The pundits suspected that the incident was a signal of bad tidings. After the snake appeared at his meeting, Mr Rosaiah was forced to resign to his Chief Minister post.
