Warangal: The State Bharatiya Janata Party president and party floor leader in the Assembly, Mr G Kishan Reddy, here on Sunday described the All India Congress Committee president, Ms Sonia Gandhi, and the recently formed YSR Congress Party president, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, as two sides of the same coin.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Mr Kishan Reddy said that there was no difference between the activities of Ms Sonia Gandhi and Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy. The Amberpet MLA said that the State government which was over enthusiastic in crushing the decades’ long Telangana agitation with an iron hand was not evincing same interest in maintaining law and order situation in the State.
Referring to the allegations that the BJP had forged a secret understanding with Mr Y S Jagan’s YSR Congress Party, Mr Kishan Reddy brushed aside the charge saying that the new party has neither an ideology nor any programmes and in that case how the BJP could forge electoral alliance with that party, he asked.
Condemning the firing incident on the MIM legislator, Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi, in the Old city on Saturday, Mr Reddy demanded that the State government enact a new law to solve land disputes in the State. (NSS)
