Hyderabad: In the wake of the Rail Roko agitation today, Train No.12577 Darbanga – Bangalore City Express is detained at Yelgur Railway Station, as the agitators did not allow the train to pass.
As there is no coach watering facility available at Yelgur Railway Station, steps were taken to meet the water requirements of the passengers travelling by the train. Towards this, 10,000 litres of water was moved in a road tanker from Warangal to Yelgur Railway Station and motor pumps were deployed to pump the water from this tanker into the coaches, to serve the needs of the stranded passengers.
In addition, drinking water drums and water bottles were transported from Warangal to Yelgur Railway Station and kept on the platform in abundance for the use of passengers.
These arrangements were carried out to avoid any inconvenience to the stranded passengers under the supervision of Commercial Officers/ Senior Supervisors, who are camped at Warangal and Yelgur Railway Stations .
