Hyderabad: The TDP Chief Mr N Chandrababu Naidu has criticized the state government for not solving the problems of the farmers and stated that the farmers would not get any benefit with the ongoing ‘Rythu Chaithanya Yatras’.

Speaking to the media at NTR Trust Bhavan here on Wednesday, Mr Naidu said that the farmers’ were not getting minimum support price (MSP) even though they got good crops. Nobody was buying the paddy paying the MSP, and the stocks were submerged in the rain water, he alleged. He said that about 80 to 90 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was lying with the farmers, and the government was not bothered even though the paddy was soaked in the rain water.

He alleged that the Chief Minister Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s assurances sound very high, but in practice nothing was happening. The government has not yet rescheduled the loans of the farmers and sanctioned the input subsidy to them, he said and alleged that the government has no right to conduct the ‘Rythu Sadassulu’ without solving their problems. He asked the government to solve the problems of the farmers at least now, and called upon the TDP cadre to extend help to the farmers.
