Hyderabad: The TDP has demanded an investigation into the properties of Congress MP Mr. Lagadapati Rajagopal also alongside the investigation into the properties of another MP and YSR Congress Chief Mr. YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
Talking to newsmen here on Friday, party leader Mr. Revanth Reddy has said that Mr. Rajagopal should himself write to the Prime Minister, requesting him to institute CBI enquiry. He said if he failed to do so, it would be construed that he has invested money in Jagan’s companies as he received kickbacks.
Mr. Revanth Reddy has said that in 2006, when Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was the Chief Minister,156 acresof Wakf Lands were allocated to Lanko Hills and as a return, Mr. Rajagopal has invested in 2007 Rs. 27 crores in Carno Asia company, in 2009 Rs. 30 crores in Sakshi channel and Sakshmi newspaper. He said he has purchased a share valued at Rs. 10 for Rs. 350. He has alleged that Mr.Rajagopal has supported the candidature of Mr. Jagan as the Chief Minister after his father died as he thought the two of them could loot the state. As it was not bpossible Lagadapati was now talking against mr.Jagan and saying that Mr. Rajasekhara Reddy has kept his son in Bangalore as he knew that he was cor;rupt. He said mr. Rajagopal should prove his honesty by requestiong for CBI enquiry into his properties.
