Hyderabad: Mr. Vallabhaneni Vamsi who has resigned as the President of the TDP Vijayawada urban unit has withdrawn his resignation on Monday.

He said he has withdrawn his resignation in difference to the wishes of the party cadres.

Meanwhile, party chief Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu has rejected the resignation of Mr. Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Krishna district President and a rival of Mr. Vamsi. Mr. Naidu has directed the district in charge Mr. Gorantla Buchayya Choudary to enquire into the squabblings in the district party and give him report.

It may be recalled that Mr. Vamsi and MLA Mr. Kodali Nani have charged Mr. Uma of showing disrespect to Rajya Sabha member and late NTR’s son Mr. Nandamuri Hari Krishna, during his recent tour of the district. They have also alleged that due importance was not being given to the Nandamuri family members in the party.

Protesting against what he called disrespect to Mr. Hari Krishna, Vamsi has submitted his resignation. Pained by the allegations, Mr. Umamaheswara Rao has also sent his resignation to the party president. (NSS)
