Hyderabad: The Telangana Electricity Employees’ Association has demanded that the Andhra Pradesh Generation Corporation Limited (APGenco) immediately repatriate the Seemandhra employees, who were appointed and promoted in violation of GO No. 610 in the Telangana region.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Friday, the association founder-president, Mr Kishan Singh Thakur, alleged that though the State government directed the authorities to implement the GO No. 610 in all departments, the APGenco has failed to implement it so far. Though the association took the irregularities to notice of the management, it failed to act, he alleged.

Mr Kishan Singh said the APGenco management had transferred 15 engineers, who were working in Vijjeshwaram Gas Power Corporation Limited, from Zone 2 to KTPC and KTPP in Telangana region. He lamented that though they have complained about it through a letter to the management, it failed to take action so far. He also alleged that the management had transferred two LDCs from Vijjeswaram to Vidyuth Souda in violation of GO 610.

Mr Singh said that according to rules, the compensatory appointments should be given to the kin of employees in the respective zones or circles. He alleged that Ms Krishna Priya, who lost her husband of Rayalaseema zone, was appointed in Vidyut Soudha in utter violation of GO No. 610. He demanded that the APGenco immediately repatriate the employees of Seemandhra and take stern action against them. He threatened that if the APGenco fails to concede their demands within 15 days, they would launch agitation from August 1.

The association organizing secretaries, Mr M. Raju Kumar and Mr S. Suresh Kumar, were also present.
