Hyderabad: Contending that the time has come for formation of separate Telangana state, the TRS President Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao said that Hyderabad would be shaped as an International city after formation of the State.
He also stated that once Telangana state was formed, a satellite city would be developed 100 Kms away from Hyderabad, and he districts would be reorganized. Vikarabad district also would be created, he said and added that after formation of Telangana state, the cost of lands around Hyderabad city would go up to unimaginable levels.
The TRS leader said that Telangana region was totally neglected since the formation of united Andhra Pradesh in 1956 and the people of the region were subjected to hardships and injustices since then. The slavish mentality of Telangana leaders was responsible for this sad state of affairs, he said. He further stated that under the rule of Andhra rulers, Mahaboobnagar district alone lost Rs.one lakh crores.
A number of CPI-M workers have today joined the TRS in the presence of Mr KCR. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rao said that CPM workers joining the TRS was a memorable event, which could be written in letters of Gold.
Lambasting the CPI-M leadership for its failure to launch an agitation to solve the problem of fluoride victims in Nalgonda district, which was the strong-hold of the party, Mr Rao questioned whether the party had made a single Telangana leader as it’s State Secretary since the formation of Andhra Pradesh.(NSS)
