King of Prussia: The NRIs hailing from Telangana region settled in USA paid rich tributes to Prof. Jayashankar, the Telangana ideologue who passed away recently, at a condolence meeting organized in his memory at Philadelphia.

Speakers on the occasion termed the meeting as a “spoorthi sabha” and not a “santhapa sabha” as it was an opportunity to draw inspiration from the life experiences and teachings of an eminent person like Prof. Jayashankar. Who would continue to remain a guiding beacon to the present generation. It is imperative for the people of Telangana to carry his legacy on their shoulders not only to achieve the cherished goal of a separate state but also strive to make it prosperous, they observed.

Prof Jayashankar strived hard through out his life for the upliftment of the poor sections of people. After having watched a couple of videos of his discussing Telangana and his experiences , the NRIs felt the need to come out with a plan to create an institution or foundation to continue his legacy in working out various developmental ideas and actively contribute to the policy matters for Telangana.

The meeting thanked Mr. Madhava Reddy, Dr. Dasrath Reddy, former President of OU Arfts College and TRS leader, and also Mr. ath Chandra Reddy and Vishweshar Kalvala from Roichester in helping to organize the meeting and pay tributes to the Telangana ideologue.
