Telangana state a reality before next elections: Sathyanarayana

Karimnagar: The APSRTC Chairman and senior Congress leader Mr M Sathyanarayana has said that separate Telangana would be created before the 2014 elections. He demanded the State government to reinstall the toppled statues of the famous persons of Telangana region.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, Mr Sathyanarayana has said that the Centre has specially focused its concentration on Telangana issue and it will announce Telangana before the general elections. He opined that nobody have the strength to obstruct the Telangana movement.

Condemning the desecration of the statues on Tank Bund, he opined that it was not correct on part of the Telangana agitators to topple the statues. He said that it was not proper to the people to destroy the RTC buses in an emotional situation. He stated that the RTC has lost about Rs.150 crores during the recent bandhs and attacks on RTC buses. He revealed that the government has accepted to sanction 2000 new buses to the Corporation on his request. (NSS)
