Hyderabad, Feb 22: TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has alleged that there was a collusion between the TRS and the former Kadapa MP, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Talking to the media at the NTR Trust Bhavan, his party office here on Tuesday, the former Chief Minister has said the government was conducting the budget session of the Assembly as a matter of fact, without any commitment for a meaningful debate on people’s problems. He has alleged that the government was adjourning the House without any reason as it did not want any debate on people’s problems.
He also said the government did not want major issues like fees reimbursement, Polavaram project and Pranahita-Chevella project not to come up for discussion in the House. “It was unfortunate that the there was no serious discussion on the problems faced by the people, in the Assembly.”
He also alleged that the government was adopting an evasive attitude and was adjourning the House at the slightest excuse. Even the Union government, instead of performing its legitimate duties, was trying to blame the Oppositions for its own follies, he added. He accused the State government of starting unhealthy practice of adopting various Bills and resolutions without any debate. He also demanded that the Centre take a decision at the earliest on the Srikrishna Committee report on Telangana.
Mr Naidu said the government should own responsibility for the attack on MLAs on the Assembly premises, the ongoing bandhs and other agitations. He has claimed that the TDP was founded for the welfare of the Telugus all over the world. He said it was not confined to the Telugus in the State.
When asked about the differences in his party on Telangana, he said that every one in the party should abide by its decisions. Stating that some members could be having their own personal opinions, he said they could not be considered as party’s policies. (NSS)
