Hyderabad: Perturbed over the reports in a section of the media suggesting that the TRS would be merged in the Congress party, TRS leaders today condemned such reports and said there was absolutely no truth in them.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, TRS President Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao and other leaders took objection to such baseless and wrong reports. They requested the media to refrain from propagating such false reports, which are creating confusion among the cadres.

TRS Legislature party leader Mr Etela Rajender stated that the issue if merger of TRS with Congress has never been discussed in the party. He, however, added that achieving separate Telangana state was more important for them than TRS. Another leader Mr T Harish Rao asserted that the TRS would work for Telangana even after separate State was created.

TRS Member of Lok Sabha Mrs Vijayashanti said that TRS is the biggest party in Telangana and asked how could a big party merge with a smaller one. (NSS)
