Welcoming TRS’ threat to slap a defamation case over TDP leaders’ allegations of hanky-panky in the finalisation of the Polavaram project tenders, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has described TRS leaders as “vasool rajas”.
Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, Naidu said that if TRS leaders filed a defamation case against the TDP on the Polavaram row, they would produce all evidences.
“Running a business is not wrong but using politics for expansion of business is.
TRS leaders have become vasool rajas.
The TDP will reveal how much TRS leaders collected from the public.” Naidu demanded immediate cancellation of the Polavaram tenders and urged the government to call for fresh tenders.
“Whoever was behind the finalisation of the tenders should be known to the public,” he demanded.
Naidu, however, neither denied nor endorsed the TTDF leaders’ allegation that project contract was given to a particular company to dilute the Sakala Janula Samme.
“There is a circumstantial evidence.
Namaste Telangana newspaper managing director got the contract.
All should know who is behind the deal,” Naidu demanded.
“TRS MLAs, who were elected with thumping majorities, sold themselves to the Congress.
But the party was unable to take any action against them,’’ Naidu said and claimed that the TDP was the most disciplined party.
“Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy should use his discretion and act upon the Polavaram tenders.
The displaced persons should be given a fair package as per the latest central government norms.
Both Polavaram and Pranahita-Chevella should be completed on a priority basis,” Naidu said.
