TRS To Go It Alone In Assembly Poll: Harish Rao

Posted by on November 21, 2012 0 Comment

TRS senior leader and Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao here on Wednesday made it clear that his party would go it alone in the coming Assembly elections in the State.

Speaking to the media here, Harish Rao said that his party’s electoral battle would be on the slogan of “Congress Khatam Karo – Telangana Haasil Karo” (Bury the Congress and achieve separate Telangana State). Harish Rao said that the next phase of the agitation for Telangana would begin with the “Samarabheri” meeting in Suryapet in Nalgonda district. He also said that no further dialogues would be held with the Congress High Command on the decades old separate State issue.

The TRS leader also advised the Telugu Desam party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu to make a statement that he was in favour of separate Telangana instead of declaring that he was not opposed to the State bifurcation. He also charged the State government with showing step-motherly treatment to the Telangana region in the matter of
extending relief to the victims of the recent Nilam cyclone in the
State. (NSS)
