TTD to spend only 25% revenue on salaries

Tirupati: The Tirupati-Tirumala Devasthanams Board has decided to spend only 25 per cent of the revenue of the temple towards the salaries of the employees.

The Board, which met here on Thursday, also decided to procure equipments worth Rs 1.36 crores for the Alipiri toll gate. The Board also decided to provide 29.5 acres of land for the Divya Bharati project and appoint 210 security guards.

The decision was taken in order to prevent sexual harassment in the Vedic School. The meeting has decided to appoint a committee with the JEO as the chief, to check the menace. (NSS)
