Kadapa: Kamalapuram MLA Veera Siva Reddy on Friday expressed dissatisfaction over reports that senior Praja Rajyam Party leader C Ramachandraiah could be given a prominent Cabinet berth during the next reshuffle.

Talking to media persons here, Mr Siva Reddy said that the leaders from Mr Ramachandraiah’s own constituency were opposed to his being entrusted with the responsibility of a Cabinet Minister.

“In fact, the leaders are ready to submit a memorandum in this connection to PRP president K Chiranjeevi,” the MLA revealed.

Mr Siva Reddy expressed his inability to face the Telugu Desam Party or the YSR Congress Party if the Congress gives a Minister’s post to ‘such a weak and inefficient leader as Mr Ramachandraiah.’

“How we can tackle the TDP and YSR Congress Party in the district,” he asked.

The Kamalapuram MLA stated the Congress leaders in the district would submit a memorandum to Mr Chiranjeevi asking him to use his influence and stop the Congress from giving any post to Mr Ramachandraiah.

He appealed to the Congress High Command to name those elected leaders who are elect directly to Legislative Assembly on the party ticket, as Ministers.(INN)
