We can’t stay with Seemandhras any longer: T Harish Rao

Hyderabad: The TRS senior leader and Siddipet MLA, Mr T. Harish Rao, has declared that the people of the region cannot stay together with the people of Seemandhra region any longer. The vexed people of Telangana would not mind even if the Union government imposed President’s rule in the State, but would not like to stay along with the Seemandhra people, he added.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday, Mr Harish Rao felt that President’s rule was welcome for the people of the region as the numerous injustices being meted out to them at the hands of Seemandhra rulers was unbearable. They would not object to the Centre resorting to President’s Rule at this juncture, he added.

Welcoming the decision of the Congress elected representatives of the region to tender resignations en masse on July 4, the TRS leader said that they would also submit resignations if the Telangana Political JAC directed them to do so. He also once again made it clear that his party would not field its candidates against those quit their posts for the cause of Telangana State. Moreover, the TRS would strive to ensure win of the Congress sitting members with massive majorities in the resultant byelections, he added.

Stating that there was unanimity among the Telangana protagonists on the separate issue, Mr Harish Rao said there was need for others to give suggestions. The TRS leader also condemned the statement of the AICC leader incharge of AP Affairs, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad, on Telangana issue. The decades old issue cannot be linked with the integrity of the country, he added.
