Hyderabad, Feb.5: The former Congress MP from Kadapa, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, has said that he was getting a doubt if there was a government in the State because of the chaos all around. Mr Jagan visited the family of Varalakshmi, a victim of the government’s failure to release fees reimbursement funds, at Kutbullapurmet in Ranga Reddy district and consoled them.
Talking to mediapersons later, Mr Jagan said if the government had released the fee, Varalakshmi would not have died. He said the college managements were bringing pressure on the students only because of the delay on the part of the government in releasing the fee.
Mr Jagan said that it was atrocious on the part of the government to make an attempt to bluff that Varalakshmi died in an accident due to gas leak. He said that after visiting the house of the girl, he did not find any traces of a gas leak. He has demanded that the government take suitable steps to prevent recurrence of such incidents. He also said that it would have been more civilized on the part of the government if it had admitted its folly honestly. He said if the government did not respond at least now, God will teach it a lesson. (NSS)
