Vizianagaram: In a severe set back to the TDP, Mr. Yedla Ramanamurty, district President, has resigned to the party and joined the Congress.

Talking to newsmen, he said he has left the TDP as he had no recognition there. He has alleged that some leaders of the party have tried to suffocate him and make him leave the party.

Mr Ramana Murty is a very important leader of the TDP in the district. He has joined the Congress in the presence of Minister Mr. Botsa Satyanarayana on Tuesday. It is learnt that Botsa encouraged Mr. Ramana Murty who was dissatisfied with the way he was being treated in the TDP, to join the Congress. (NSS)
