TDP politburo member Yanamala Rama Krishnudu has written one more letter to the DG of Jails, complaining about the indiscriminate permission to the VIP’s friends and relatives of YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and non-maintenance of proper records pertaining to the mulakats of various prisoners, in the Chanchalguda jail.

Yanamala has alleged in the letter that the Mulakhats were being permitted in violation of the rules. He referred to his letters dated October 19 and 31, and said till now, he has not received any reply from the DG) or the jail authorities as to the steps taken to curb irregular/unauthorized activities.  He had alleged that certain unauthorized and unethical activities are being permitted by the jail staff obviously under the extraneous influence of the under-trail prisoners.

He enclosed copies of two newspaper reports which  mentioned about the inadequacies in maintaining the records by the jail staff and specific instances of entries having not been made in the registers when certain visitors have met the under trail prisoners. Yanamala requested the DGP (Prisons) to cause immediate enquiry into the above mentioned irregularities and take immediate remedial steps for enforcing discipline in the management of the jail functionaries.
