RBI to issue Tagore, Brihadeeswarar Coins

Hyderabad: The Reserve Bank of India will shortly issue two new Rs. 5 coins with the theme “ 150th Birth Anniversary of Rabindranth Tagore” and “1,000 years of Brihadeeswarar Temple”.

The faces of Tagore coin will bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar and the portrait of Tagore.

While the other coin will have on its reverse the statue of King Raja Rajan-I of Chola dynasty, a press release informed. (NSS)
