New Delhi: With each Test that Sachin Tendulkar plays, a new record is set more often than not. And so it is with the ongoing Test against against England at Nottingham which has become the 100th match for the master-blaster, away from home soil.
With 179 Tests for the country, Sachin is already the most-capped player in the longest format of the game. The milestone reached on Friday becomes another feather in his cap as he searches for his highly anticipated 100th international century.
Sachin averages 56.48 in all matches played outside India and his highest individual score of 248* also came against Bangladesh in Dhaka. 29 of his 51 Test centuries have been scored at international venues with 8191 runs to boot.
While skipper MS Dhoni opted to field first on Friday, Sachin is expected to edge close to his feat of 100 international centuries once India replies to England’s 1st innings target. NDTV
