Northampton: Rahul Dravid, who has been included in the 16 member squad for upcoming ODIs and T20s against England on Saturday, is set to retire from the shorter format of the game after the tour.

His recall was a surprising one as he was included in the limited over format after two years.

His selection had also raised quite a few eyebrows in the cricketing circles.

Rahul Dravid was last seen in an ODI match against the West Indies during the 2009 Champions Trophy in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Rahul Dravid started off his glittering ODI career against Sri Lanka in 1996. During his 15 year long career he amassed 10765 runs at an avg. of 39.43 which included 12 centuries and 82 half-centuries.

He also captained India for two years following Ganguly`s axing. However, he was less successful in the role of a captain as his team exited from the ICC World Cup, 2007 in the first round itself. Though, he did lead the side to series victories in England and the West Indies for the first time in a generation. Zeecric
