Having been served with a letter from the Pakistan Cricket Board asking to explain comments he made regarding differences between members of the Pakistani management team, Shahid Afridi insists the situation has been blown out of proportion.
On leaving the Caribbean following Pakistan’s 3-2 ODI series victory over the West Indies, Afridi told reporters that: “Although the differences in team management are not such which could not be solved, I feel everyone should do his job and need not interfere in other’s work.”
Comments which are believed to be directed at coach Waqar Younis, with the skipper said to be unhappy with Younis’ role in the selection process.
However, Afridi has now looked to calm the situation.
“I have received a letter from the Board and will send my reply tomorrow,” Afridi told the News.
“It’s all the result of misunderstanding and I’m sure the matter will be resolved soon.” Cricket365
