Based on inputs from intelligence agencies, the Indian government has warned the Maharashtra government to be on the alert for possible terrorist attacks in the final match of the 2011 cricket world cup scheduled for the 2nd of April 2011 in Mumbai.

It seems 17 tickets have been purchased by the LeT militants through one of their agents and the gang would be arriving in Mumbai from the Bangladesh route. However, in the absence of more concrete information, it would be a futile exercise and can be compared to searching for a needle in a stack of hay.

The militants could be men, women or even children. Obviously, the security forces have to be really experts to identify anyone who has evil deigns and appears to be out of place and nab the person.

Militants do not carry any flag declaring their intentions – hence, the police, paramilitary forces, security forces all have to join and keep their eyes open and ears to the ground to observe any unnatural actions or conversation that might prove a clue. Agencies
