Pakistan batsman Younis Khan will miss the two-Test series against the West Indies following the death of his brother.
The 33-year-old, who was a certain starter for Pakistan in the opening Test which kicks off on Thursday in Guyana, returned home on Sunday after his elder brother passed away.
“Younis is returning home today as unfortunately his elder brother, Shamshad Khan, has passed away in Germany,” a Pakistan Cricket Board official said.
With the first Test just a few days away, Pakistan are unlikely to call up a replacement, but the board may decide to send an SOS for the second match which starts on May 20. Cricket365
