12.20 lakhs worth stolen Gold recovered

GoldThe Crime staff of Narayanaguda Police Station have apprehended Sunny Singh Madaan 27 years resident of Attapur, on December 11th while he was trying to dispose off the stolen Gold ornaments and recovered gold ornaments 40 Tulas worth of rupees 12 Lakhs and net cash rupees 20,000 from his possession.

Singh resident of Harivihar Colony,Narayanaguda has lodged a complaint at P.S.Narayanaguda stating that on the said date along with his family members went to attend his cousin sister marriage at EME Center,Gurudwara, Secunderabad by locking the doors of the house located at 2nd floor. After attending the marriage, they returned home at about and shocked to found the doors of the house open and gold ornaments about 40 tolas, and net cash rupees 25,000 were stolen by breaking open two almirahs in the two bed rooms.

During the course of investigation, it has come to notice that the offender has used a duplicate key to open the main door of the house and later committed theft of gold jewelry and cash etc. In this connection, the crime staff have started suspecting the role of nearby relatives/friends and servant etc, as there is a possibility that they may prepare duplicate key with the help of original key and used the same for the commission of the offence.

While the investigation was in progress apprehended Sunny Singh Madaan under suspicious circumstances near Krishna Jewelers, Abids while he was trying to dispose off the stolen gold articles 40 tolas.

During the interrogation, the accused Sunny Singh Madaan confessed that the complainant Ravinder Singh is his own maternal cousin brother. He is working in the Kirana Shop of his father at Chintal Basthi and he is in the habit of lavishly spending. Due to insufficient earnings, he targeted his cousin brother complainant’s house to commit theft of gold articles.
