Hyderabad: In a shocking revelation, it was now found that young Bhavani was murdered by a VII class student Praveen alias Pappu for rejecting his overtures.

Bhavani, who disappeared after leaving her home to participate in a friend’s birth day was found floating in Krishna river in Vijayawada.

The Jeedimetla police have found that Praveen who wanted to marry the girl has pushed her into the river for refusing to get married.

It may be recalled that Bhavani, who left her home on April 20, was found dead in the Krishna river. It is said that Praveen loved the 13-year-old Bhavani, who was studying VI class. Praveen is 14.

It is learnt that the two left homes and sought help of their friends to get married. The Jeedimetla Circle Inspector told the media on Friday that their friends have contributed money to make their life a success. He said that another IX class student also helped the two with money. The two were sent along with one Srikant to get married by their colleagues on the last working day of the school. The couple and Srikant have first gone to Tirupati and then to Vijayawada. However, Srikant and Praveen have returned and told every one that Bhavani has slipped from the train. Her body was later fished out of the Krishna river.

Police, who investigated the case, found that Bhavani finally refused to get married and that angered by her rejection, Praveen pushed her into the river. (NSS)
