Kabul, Feb 19 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Eight people were killed and 60 injured when gunmen attacked a bank Saturday in Afghanistan’s Jalalabad city, the interior ministry said.
Seven militants, including three suicide bombers, attacked the Kabul Bank, Afghanistan’s largest private bank, when police officials were collecting their salaries, a ministry official said.
The men attacked the bank’s security before three powerful blasts ravaged the building. Ten of those injured were in critical condition, hospital officials said.
The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
