Hyderabad: The police on Monday arrested four persons in connection with the sensational murder of a man at in front of the Axis Bank ATM on the Kachiguda Station Road on the evening of June 24.

The Kachiguda police said that the then unidentified men had waylaid and attacked Shamshuddin alias Obaid, with an axe and butcher knife on head and left hand while he was going on motor cycle resulting in his instantaneous death.

During investigations the police found out that Obaid had married one Omera in 2008. This marriage later ended in divorce.

Since then differences erupted between him and brother-in-law Shaik Jaleel Ahmed alias Laddu. Two months ago Shaik Jaleel Ahmed had beaten Obaid up, leaving him humiliated. Jaleel was booked by Kachiguda police in this case.

After that incident, Jaleel, conspired along with his friends Syed Abrar Hussain, Waheed and Ibrahim to eliminate Obaid and left for Dubai about a month back.

As per the plan, the accused observed the movements of deceased Obaid and on June 24, the four went in the auto to the Unani clinic of Obaid at Nimboli Adda to corner him and kill him.

At about 7 AM, Obaid came out from his shop on his motor cycle and was shadowed by the accused Abrar, Akthar and Waheed in the auto rickshaw driven by Ibrahim. When Obaid came out of Axis Bank ATM centre at Station Road Kachiguda, he was attacked with Axe and butchers knife by throwing Mirchi powder in his eyes and caused injuries on head and left hand due to which he died on the spot.

The Kachiguda Police with the help of East Zone Taskforce team arrested Abrar Hussain and Akthar on June 26 near Zoo Park. The police later arrested Waheed and Ibrahim and seized the weapons and the auto used in the commission of offence.

Police are initiating the process to get Jaleel deported from Dubai.(INN)
