A 15-year-old girl has allegedly stabbed a woman with scissors during a domestic dispute in the New South Wales Hunter Valley.
The teenager started arguing with the woman at their home in Bowden St, Singleton about 6pm (AEST) yesterday.
Police allege she threatened the 52-year-old woman with a knife before they became involved in a physical altercation.
The girl then grabbed a pair of scissors and allegedly stabbed the woman to her right knee causing it to bleed.
A 54-year-old man was also injured when he attempted to intervene in the fight and was allegedly bitten by the girl.
The man and woman sustained minor injuries that did not require stitches, police said.
The teenager has been charged with malicious wounding, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, malicious damage and being armed with intent to commit indictable offence.
She was refused bail to appear in Muswellbrook Children’s Court today. Agencies
