London: The actress Freida Pinto has been under fire from critics in his native India for allegedly refusing roles in Bollywood films. Pinto international fame in 2008, “ s Slumdog Millionaire and has since appeared in a number of Hollywood and American indie projects such as Woody Allen “ s “Meet a man of your dreams’ and High upcoming releases “from the Planet of the Apes” and “Highlander.”
But critics back home resent the success of the Mumbai-born actress film ‘bloom, insisting that should appear in Indian films.
“I have` t made a film in India because I have not found a script “ t that `s totally got my attention and made me passionate to get it made,” the Daily Express quoted as saying the magazine Interview.
“I keep saying` I’m not at all famous in my own country, because people do not think I have done nothing to India.
“I was upset at first. I suppose that everybody in India has tried very hard to do what they do and then move to the West …
