Jacqueline Fernandes flagged off of a bike expedition for an NGO for the people of Leh and Ladakh whose homes have been affected by flooding and mudslides
Jacqueline Fernandes appears to be inspired by the charity our B-Town stars do. Recently she flagged off a bike expedition by differently abled riders to Build Back Better in Leh for Habitat for Humanity India’s yesterday.
Says a source close to Jacqueline, “The expedition was flagged off in Bandra and wound its way through the streets of Mumbai before hitting the national highway en route to Vapi which was their first pit stop. Jackie loves to ride bikes herself, especially in the monsoons and as she supports this particular NGO she thought it was the best possible way to support it. She also goes riding with her many girlfriends also. Apparently she owns a sleek, black, mean machine and whenever she feels low or stressed she goes out on bike rides. It’s a problem sometimes riding on the streets if Mumbai as there’s always traffic on the roads.”
The three riders are raising funds for Habitat for Humanity India’s disaster response program in Leh and Ladakh, where they will break their journey to build homes alongside those affected by flooding and mudslides. “Jackie would have loved to join the trip to Leh and Ladakh herself but is currently tied up with her shooting and other work commitements.”
While we know her co-star in Housefull 2, Akshay Kumar, is a mean bike rider himself (was gifted a Harley Davidson bike on his birthday by wife Twinkle) we are left wondering whom she has picked up bike riding from. It certainly can’t be her good friend Sajid Khan (also her director in the film). TOI
