The race of item songs is on but, newbie Shweta Bhardwaj who had a promising sizzling cabaret track ‘Kismat apni sajale’ in recent release Bin Bulaye Baraati is not keen on doing more such item songs in her upcoming films.

She clarifies, “I was signed as a lead actress for Bin Bulaye but due to date problems I couldn’t do it and thus ended up doing an item songs and I am happy about it. This song which was dedicated to Helenji was shot in a casino in Goa and it was fun to do this number. Basically because I was looking hot in this song and many complimented me about it too. In fact I am getting glam roles because many directors feel that I look hot and I can’t do simple or de-glam roles.

Moreover I am enjoying this image as I like looking glam and would love to do more such roles.” Talking about her upcoming projects she says, “Though in my another upcoming Hriday Shetty’s film Chaalis Chaurasi I will be featured in an item number with actor Naseeruddin Shah but I don’t want to do just item songs as my focus is on lead roles and I want to explore more in that front.” TOI
