He’s got a legend of a mother and his sibling too is quite a gal in her own right. Sharmila Tagore and Soha Ali Khan, that is. Saif Ali Khan, Chhote Nawab and Padma Bhushan winner too is rather buoyant over celebrating ‘Women’s Day’, though he feels that “having just one day to celebrate and thank them is kind of discrediting the kind of work that they do.”
Saif’s rationale is that all that we are and become, is eventually the result of parental upbringing, in which the mother’s role is paramount and more significant as compared to the father’s.
“What we do in life depend on the women around us,” he opines in a tabloid chat, expressing that he’s “grateful to God” for giving him a mother like Tagore, who instilled top values in him. Besides, there’s no deficit of praise as regards Bebo from whom he’s “learnt a lot.”
On a buoyant note Khan does admit that “it’s cool to celebrate women.”
Girls, that’s simply a Saif conclusion…
