Emily Browning is one very lucky gal.
She got to go to bed with Jon Hamm.
It was only pretend sex for a scene in their new movie Sucker Punch.
Even so, Browning gushes, “It was great. He’s very lovely.”
Not that the filming the scene with the Mad Men hunk was all that intimate. “They’re never sexy,” Browning told us last night at Nylon magazine’s 12th anniversary party at Tru Hollywood. “They’re always really weird. There are a hundred people and a camera in your face. It’s always kind of awkward.”
Hey, we wouldn’t kick Hamm out of bed for being awkward. Would you?
Browning cohosted last night’s bash with her Sucker Punch costars Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung and Abbie Cornish. (They’re all on the cover of Nylon’s April issue.)
Meanwhile, Cornish confirmed that Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon did film a small part in W.E., a drama directed by the Queen of Pop about a young New Yorker (Cornish) who is fascinated by the scandalous affair between England’s King Edward VIII and American socialite divorcée Wallis Simpson. Lourdes plays Cornish’s character at a youger age.
“She’s in it for a moment,” Abbie Cornish tells us about Lourdes’ brief appearance in W.E. “She’s gorgeous.”
Lourdes’ dad, Carlos Leon, recently told me she was interested in acting. “She goes to the the High School of Performing Arts,” he said. “She’s in drama class right now. She’s a freshman in high school and she’s a freshman in acting.”
As for being directed by Madonna, Cornish said it was “awesome.”
“I really loved working with her,” she said .. “She’s had such an interesting life. Because of her life and the fact that she’s a singer and a dancer, a lot of that is actually implemented in her directing.
“She really enjoys choreography and choreographing the scenes,” she continued. “She’s very visual.”
