Hyderabad: The launch of the 20-Point Economic Programme in June 1975 (Commemoration Day) would be celebrated on Friday at a function to be held at Secretariat.
Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is expected to start the programme and Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy will also attend the programme.
Speaking to media persons at the Secretariat on Thursday, 20-Point Programme chairman N Tulasi Reddy said that AP was first ranker during 92-93 and again during 2010-2011 in the all India competitions for effective implementation of the pet scheme of former prime minister Indira Gandhi.
Dr Tulasi Reddy added that the state was later it relegated to 23rd position in 2001-02 and since then, efforts had been made to revive its rank but to no avail.
