Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has threatened to intensify agitation in Telangana if the Union government fails to introduce a Bill for separate Telangana in the coming Parliament session.
This was decided at the ‘Vidyarthi Samarabheri’, held by it in Nizamabad on Wednesday in protest against the spiraling corruption in the country. Hundreds of ABVP activists took out rallies and shouted slogans against the Centre for delay in the formation of Telangana state.
The meeting blamed the UPA for playing with the sentiments of 4 crore Telangana people. It demanded a bill on T state in the monsoon session of Parliament.
“People of the region are fed up. They would teach a befitting lesson to Congress and its leaders if the party high command drags its feet on the T-issue,” the ABVP leaders warned. TOI
