Hyderabad: Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar on Thursday ‘advised’ Seemandhra leaders to adopt a meeker attitude than the aggressive posture adopted by them to push for their demand of an integrated Andhra Pradesh.
“They appear as if they are threatening the Centre in order to get their demand of Samaikhya Andhra Pradesh fulfilled,” Mr Prabhakar told media persons at the Assembly Media Point on Thursday.
He continued, “The Seemandhra delegation, instead of adopting a humble attitude, was resorting to forceful methods in order to get their demands fulfilled during its meeting with the High Command’s representative in New Delhi.”
Mr Prabhakar advised the Seemandhra delegation not to resort to threats while opposing the Telangana state formation before the Centre.
Besides this, the Karimnagar MP also criticized the Seemandhra for the propaganda allegedly launched by them that formation of Telangana state would see an increase in Maoist activities and witness communal strife in the region.
Stating that Telangana has never witnessed communal violence, Mr Prabhakar asked Samaikhya Andhra leaders to stop the malicious campaign.
He also clarified that Telangana leaders will not object if government announces a ‘Krishna state’ after Telangana state formation.
Slamming Y S R Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy for alleging that the Congress foisted cases against him unable to defeat him politically, Mr Prabhakar asked the Kadapa MP not to target Congress for the Court’s rulings.
He also advised the YSR Congress Party chief to take Central Bureau of Investigation probe as a challenge and emerge clean from charges instead of seeking God’s wrath on the Congress.(INN)
